1. Relationship Counseling/ Marriage Counseling
The process of counseling the parties of a relationship in an effort to recognize and to better manage or reconcile troublesome differences and repeating patterns of distress.
Also applies to employees or employers in a workplace, or between a professional and a client.
2. Mental Health Counseling
Holistic counseling approach where data is collected to assess the client’s mental and emotional and/or behavioral problems or behavioral disorders and strategies are put in place to help clients effectively adapt to the concerns presented.
3. Career Counseling
The focus here is on issues such as career exploration, career change, personal career development and other career related issues.
4. Grief Counseling
Grief counseling aims to help people cope with grief and mourning following the death of loved ones, or with major life changes that
trigger feelings of grief (e.g., divorce).
5. Suicide Counseling
Suicide intervention is direct effort to stop or prevent persons attempting or contemplating suicide.
6. Stress Management
The effect of stress is not the same for all individuals. Given the same stressors individuals will differ in their ability to cope. With
stress management we focus on raising the clients ability to cope and effectively manage stressors in their lives.
